As a lot of you know, I volunteer as an adoption counselor with RAIN to help find homes for cats & kittens.

For all of you who do know her or do not, Anneke is a true animal hero who has devoted herself to the animals of homeless in Sacramento. She has had so many wonderful things happen to her, but also many horrible things happen in her years helping the animals of Sacramento's homeless population. RAIN has taken kittens from Anneke when she has been in desperate need of help. Help her and her mission by voting for her as Animal Planet hero of the year. She has been through many challenges with the homeless pets and the homeless population--trying desperately to help their animals and keep them safe. Send this to your friends and encourage them to vote for her. $10,000 would be a God-send to her and her efforts.

Vote for Anneke!!
Then click on vote now.

Vote now and vote often. Pass it on!!

Ok,
Spending all of my time working for my job or working and spending money on the 'Stang.
I am getting a 289 4v motor (small block v8 that puts out 225 horsepower) this weekend. Sometime before next fall we will be have the motor finished and it will be capable of 365 to 400 horsepower. if you would like to moitor the progress I have set up a site at http://members.cox.net/midnight7 I will keep this updated by adding new pictures as I get them.

Ok, Ron. (Can't wait to hear the song you and Le are doin. Hurry up.)

I got the job at the Canyon County Prosecutor's Office. I start October 2nd. Next week will be my last week here at CACI. I'll train my replacement next week. Shouldn't be too hard, any monkey could do this job. I'll be going back to my legal secretary-ing at the Prosecutor's Office and it's only 5 miles from home. I'll end up with about the same take home pay as I've been getting even though it actually pays a great deal less than CACI, because the County pays for my kids' health insurance and I basically have no commute. Those 2 things alone were costing me almost $700/mo. Insane.

Today is Mozart's first day to be left at home. He's been coming to work with me and has been oh so good. He even went to Tuesday lunch with Ron and I. He's way too cute and I miss him at work already. All the Forest Service guys miss him too. He was a little office mascot and never made a mess, but since I gave my notice all of a sudden everything is by the numbers with the Boss Woman -- so now my friend Julie will stop by and let him out while I'm at work.

Andrea is still in California. She went originally to pick up her dog that's been in herding school since Spring and got roped into farm watching. She'll be back next week. I sure have missed her. Her gig at Idaho Power ran out the 1st of September and yesterday she got offered a contract job with HP that will start the first week of October. Yay! She'll even be able to get some health insurance.

Alek is taking a couple AP classes this year and doing a mentoring thing. She's doing really well. We got a YMCA membership and she goes there after school to hang out with friends and work out until I can pick her up on the way home from work. I'm taking her to the college fair end of October. She's thinking of following Ed to UW, but she's a little worried about its size. I'm encouraging her to look at some of the other Washington colleges, too.

Anyway, there's my update.

Was just lurking and thought I would post and give an update.

Been busy with the band had a party in Cascade last weekend Ray and Cathy came up. we had fun. Another Winery gig on Sunday we'll have 2 wedding parties there to check us out... no pressure. Looks like we've decided to do another New Years gig.

My online Band "Undead Monkey" is building a record "Life and death" We have 8 songs we are working on and we'll probably add a couple more. on of them is a song Leisl and I are going to do a colaboration on. I'll post a link when it's done. I'm sure she'll post it on her blog too.

My 44th Birthday is next week. Going out to dinner after the Winery gig.
My lawn needs mowed I guess I'll be doing that tonight.

Ok that's my update. How bout the rest of you lurkers
