Ok, Ron. (Can't wait to hear the song you and Le are doin. Hurry up.)

I got the job at the Canyon County Prosecutor's Office. I start October 2nd. Next week will be my last week here at CACI. I'll train my replacement next week. Shouldn't be too hard, any monkey could do this job. I'll be going back to my legal secretary-ing at the Prosecutor's Office and it's only 5 miles from home. I'll end up with about the same take home pay as I've been getting even though it actually pays a great deal less than CACI, because the County pays for my kids' health insurance and I basically have no commute. Those 2 things alone were costing me almost $700/mo. Insane.

Today is Mozart's first day to be left at home. He's been coming to work with me and has been oh so good. He even went to Tuesday lunch with Ron and I. He's way too cute and I miss him at work already. All the Forest Service guys miss him too. He was a little office mascot and never made a mess, but since I gave my notice all of a sudden everything is by the numbers with the Boss Woman -- so now my friend Julie will stop by and let him out while I'm at work.

Andrea is still in California. She went originally to pick up her dog that's been in herding school since Spring and got roped into farm watching. She'll be back next week. I sure have missed her. Her gig at Idaho Power ran out the 1st of September and yesterday she got offered a contract job with HP that will start the first week of October. Yay! She'll even be able to get some health insurance.

Alek is taking a couple AP classes this year and doing a mentoring thing. She's doing really well. We got a YMCA membership and she goes there after school to hang out with friends and work out until I can pick her up on the way home from work. I'm taking her to the college fair end of October. She's thinking of following Ed to UW, but she's a little worried about its size. I'm encouraging her to look at some of the other Washington colleges, too.

Anyway, there's my update.
