All this whining about snow and cold.

WOO HOO!!!! I finally got a real J O B. I got a call from the plant manager at the winery where I've been working as a temp since Sept. He offered me a permanent position with Benefits and a raise. I'm meeting him tomorrow to go over all the paperwork and such. I am SOOO jazzed it ain't funny. I've been doing the "happy dance" off and on since I got the call. Now maybe I can get back on the meds I'm supposed to be taking.

Unlike Leisl, I am hating winter this year. It's sooooo cold. Landlord finally got busy after I sent a letter citing Landlord-Tenant Act and we're getting a pellet stove tomorrow. Even with 200+ electric bills we can't get the house any warmer than about 58. Was below 40 when I got up the other day ... INSIDE MY HOUSE! I'm tired, cold and feeling defeated :( Ron loaned us a kerosene heater, but kerosene is so expensive these days - $9/gal!

Anyway, pellet stove tomorrow and I'm going to get this house WARM for the first time since November. Then I'll be reasonable and conserve blah blah blah.

Woke up to damn-near a foot of snow this morning ... and it's still coming down. It's really pretty. It's weird how much I'm actually not hating winter this year. This is all soft & quiet & blue-white in the morning light. Everything is muffled & cozy ... I may even attempt building a fire myself today. I know for sure that I'm putting on some chili for dinner. :-)
