I went to Oregon this weekend to see one of my best friends, Kitty. Her house is incredible!! I am happy to be home. Indy didn't like her babysitter (he didn't do very good with her). She pooped in bed with him in it. haha He kinda deserved it from what I saw when I got home. He does good with the cats & turtles but Indy proved too much for him to handle. I guess I'll have to find something else for her for next time.
Oregon has some good Pinot Noir vineyards. I still prefer most California wines but we went to a few good places there.
Kitty's dad is looking pretty good. His chemo is going well but it is obvious that he is on the downslide. I'm hoping he makes it to summer.

My first Christmas Song

It's Christmas time of year Enjoy

Had my appointment with the doc today to discuss the results of my IMT. Nothing out of the norm there other than my arteries are a few years older than me, probably the result of stress. He did an EKG while I was there & it was normal. He wants me to get an echocardiogram next & will have his office call to schedule one in the next couple days. *sigh* I just want my chest pains, vertigo & headaches to go away.

Happy Veteran's Day!! Thank you to all of you who served so bravely!

I'm trying - again - to get things going on the genealogy site http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~marlerbonell/.

I need full names with correct spellings, birthdates, birthplaces (with county, please), death dates, burial dates, wedding dates, divorce dates, spouse names, kids' names (and with which spouse/partner), spouse parents' info, kids' info (including their spouse, kids, etc.), yadda yadda. Photos (with as much info as possible), medical histories, stories, letters, obits, current websites, blah blah blah. Surf around, you'll see the kind of stuff I need. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do a medical family tree sorta thing, but I really think it's important - for all of us.

Thanks!

What a relief...no surgery!!
I went to the cardiothoracic surgeon on Tuesday and he went thru all the films and determined that I have a lipoma (fatty tumour) and it has defined borders unlike cancer tumours which have jagged edges...like they are reaching out to grow on something.
He wants me to have another CT scan in 3 months to see if it has grown.
I am supposed to let him know if I have any more chest pains or breathing problems.

Focus,
not on the rudenesses of others,
not on what they've done
or left undone,
but on what you
have & haven't done
yourself.

Security levels.

The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent bombings, the
level has just been raised from 'miffed' to "peeved'. Soon though, the
levels may be raised yet again to "irritated' or even "a bit cross".
Londoners have not been a "bit cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out.

Terrorists have been re-categorised from "tiresome" to "a bloody
nuisance", the last time a "bloody nuisance" warning level was issued
was during the great fire in 1666.

Be aware that the French government announced yesterday that it has
raised its terror alert level from RUN to HIDE. The only two higher
levels in France are Surrender and Collaborate.

The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white
flag factory, effectively paralysing their military capability.

It's not only the French that are on a heightened level of alert,
the Italians have increased their alert level from "shout loudly and
excitedly" to "elaborate military posturing". Two more levels remain,
"ineffective combat operations" and "change sides".

Went to Portland for a Jimmy Buffet concert and saw a lot of homeless people on the streets and under the bridges.

On Tuesday, I spent 6 hours in the ER at St. Lukes for chest pains, head pains and shortness of breath. They did an EKG, chest X-Ray, CT scan and blood work. My heart is fine and there were no clots. The X-Ray and scan showed up a mass on my lower right lung though.
The ER doc gave me a script for pain and scheduled a Thorax CT scan. I had that done on Wednesday. Today I got the results and my doctor is sending me to a Cardio/Thoracic surgeon. The mass needs to be biopsied and can't be done through the skin. They say it is non-cancerous. The mass is on the outside of my lung, next to the pleura (lining). I'll find out Tuesday how they plan to get to it to do the biopsy.

Ra's high school usually does the Sub for Santa as their charity drive. This year, because of all the devastation in the Gulf States form the hurricanes, they've decided to make Habitat for Humanity their school charity. They've set a goal of reaching $30,000. Please help them reach this goal. Donations of all sizes are welcome.

I just rearranged our premium store at cafepress http://www.cafepress.com/bonellphotog and added some new items. I'm particularly proud of the wall calendar - that one took me awhile to get together. Anyway ... go Christmas shopping now! :-) And spread the word!
