Gee, Ray, maybe if you sounded more like a frightened female it would be better. My friend in Cleveland was calling me and misdialed the area code (916) and hung up. Cops were at her house within 5 minutes cuz her line was busy when they tried a call back.

new pictures on my website www.stilborn.org

Here is Ed and I at the SVO winter concert. Good grief I'm beginning to look like my mother.

Everyone have a very safe and happy New Year.

Tuesday, December 30, 2003

that's a pretty good response time. My BEST response time here in El Paso is 2 hours so far. I once called the cops for an auto burglery and it took 18 hours for a cop to show up. I was told by a neighbor that some teens were seen "casing" cars earlier, and that they were still in the area. If a cop had shown I mighta got my stereo and stuff back.

In an emergancy I think I'll just dial 1911A1 first....it'll be ALOT faster.

There was one racy scene that was VERY good. heh heh. Other than that, none. It did have a lot of violence though.

Last night was a no power night for a while. We are in a lull right now but another bigger storm is coming in tonight/tomorrow. I had better find more candles and buy another flashlight. I hate winter!!

I am going to try to see Last Samurai this week/weekend.

Huh?

Melissa, how much nudity was in Cold Mountain? I wanted to take my dad but, he doesn't like to watch that stuff. We also went to Mona Lisa and thought -good. And Lord of the rings-great. Ugly orgs!

Glad you are ok. Pretty scarey night for you. Sleep well. Nettie

It is raining and raining and raining here. There is a little flooding but nothing serious yet and not in my part of town.
Saw 3 new movies: Mona Lisa Smile - good. Lord of the Rings - Great. Cold Mountain - tragic and violent and wonderful.
Police here respond within minutes of a 911 call which is wonderful. Thought someone was breaking in last night/early this morning. 2 cars and 4 policemen were here within 3 minutes (seemed like an hour at the time). Checked out everything and promised to patrol the neighborhood throughout the night. They did not find anything but did not treat me like a frightened female either. Someone had tried to break into the neighbors on Christmas Eve (they have been out of town for over a week) but did not succeed. Gonna be looking hard at the budget to see if I can afford getting the alarm system turned back on.
I got an IPod for Christmas. It is pretty darned cool.
Hope all is well for you all.
Le - got the CD. LOVE IT!

Ho Ho Ho

Merry Christmas!

The Marler genes are good genes. we NEVER did anything wrong.....honest ;)
but on the other hand, maybe the Hail Marys would be a good idea too.

Love ya sis. Love all of you others too.
y'all have a safe and Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

Tami, Maybe if you do a thousand Hail Mary's before hand nothing bad will happen.

Love you sis. Duck when they walk by.

whats it all mean? It means that they got those damn marler genes is what it means! Why does God hate me? :p

Boys with fire in a crowded church? Nothing bad could possibly come of it.

I spose Sandy will be running with scissors next.

Whats it all mean???

Ho Ho HO

Ian will be Joseph tonight in the pageant and Sandy is a Wiseass... err Wiseman ;)

Then at the midnight service Sandy and Ian are acolytes (altar boy/girl) and Ed gets to swing incense. Scarey really that they trust Ian with fire in a 200+ yr. old church (I guess it *is* a stone building) and Ed gets to swing hot coals in a brass bucket in a church full of Tiffany stained glass windows! Yikes. Maybe its best not to dwell on the possibilities there.

Happy Christmas family. I love you all and miss you most at the holidays.

Coda did a wonderful thing! Makes me *sniff* too.
Angels are everywhere! Even your own son!

Our church had their Christmas program tonight. J.T. sang
for the first time--ever! He even did a solo! It was a
good show; lots of Christmas songs, projected images
of the world today; while they sang. They even had a Charlie
Brown and Linus clip!

Alana was supposed to have a walk on part in the show, but
she and the 3 other little girls chickened out. She got her name in the
program tho!

Ray got me 2 Nativity sets this year. (I collect them.) I have
about 9 different ones. The most valuable one is a baby Jesus
in a manger that my Mom got in Catholic grade school; back in the 1930's.

Pretty soon, I'll have to get a display case.

Leisl, way to make me cry in the morning *sniff* Seems like its always a child that reminds us, "faith, hope and charity" Hug him for me.

Ray, that's just gross! funny, but gross!

So ... it turns out Coda has been saving money - birthday money, change found on the street, etc. - in a special piggy bank for over a year. He just told us about it this past week. It is money he has set aside for "the poor." (*sniff*)

Tonight we went downtown to see the lights at Temple Square. He brought this money with him. As we were leaving the parking garage, he spotted one of those "street people" holding a "Need Help" sign & made us pull over so he could give this man all of his money. All $14+. The man got tears in his eyes & told Coda, "God bless you" & called him an angel.

He is.

dang....... that bilevel-friggidation filter is a pain in the butt to get and operate. And finding a graphix viewer that will convert the .bf to a jpg was even worst. So.........I just did it the easy way.

anyways, for the answer on how a dishwasher works,

I heard on the news that California is rockin and rollin today. Hopin mom and dad are fine.

anybody know robbie's address? phone #? email ?

Ever wonder how a dishwasher works?
You'll find out later....

Only 3 shopping days left!!

Sunday, December 21, 2003

I'll do the weekend post.

POST! ahhahahah

My doctor could not get the machine he is trying to get until after the first of the year. I went to another specialist for a second opinion while we wait for this he will look at the images taken form the last time adn let me know what he thinks.
I may let the second doctor do the procedure. I'm not very impressed with my current "specialist".
BTW I am going to start doing some freelance VB and VB.net Programming.

Ok Tami, we will plan for the week then. Frank, how did Friday and the doctor go for you? Nettie

Saturday, December 20, 2003

first week of august is fine for me :)

glad you like the song. It's so smooth :D

Tami we looked up that song sounds good to me. I need a glass a wine with it thou. How about the first week of Aug for the reunion? Nettie

Thursday, December 18, 2003

have a yule that's cool :)

I will buy it. I'll burn it and send you a copy

wahooooo I found the CD!!!! http://www.starbucks.com/hearmusic/product.asp?category%5Fname=Our+Compilations&product%5Fid=2435227912

I do know that the link I posted is not the original artist. The original artist was Louis Armstrong. I don't remember the other songs on the CD let alone who did them lol.

Wednesday, December 17, 2003

Tami, do you remember the name/arstist of any of the other songs? I'll compile a cd.

Hey George, remember that song on my Starbucks christmas CD that we loved? Found the song!!!! http://www.mattdusk.com/audiovideo.html Have a Cool Yule :)

Tuesday, December 16, 2003

OK ... so I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do this right. Just click on the damn link for our card. We have no money for real cards & postage this year so Brian made me a digi-card to email everybody.

But what if I'm out of transparent tape?

(Welcome home Richard! You've been missed.)

WELCOME HOME RICHARD!!!!

she said smart ass, so she MUST be referring to me

I guess I should mention Richard is home safe and sound ;) Got home late Friday night. I think I got sparklies from Taiwan for Christmas ;)

oh gawd. I want to disable the editing feature! You can actually be handsome and smart yet remain a smart ass you know. :p

Handsome AND smart she must be refering to me!

Thanks Tami...you're sweet ;)

My brothers are very witty, aside from being handsome and smart.

Another way is to reformat the pic using a bilevel-friggidation filter. Once it is in .bf format, convert it to a .jpeg. Using transparent laserjet paper, print a 2x3 photo and tape it on your screen (using transparent tape of course...and no whiteout). Or, you can do like you said. The advantage of using the friggidation technique is that you never have to be online to view your pic.

*snerk*

Yea Leisl that's exactly How I have done it in the past ;-)

Monday, December 15, 2003

So ... how do I post a pic? Can I upload it to my private web space and use html in my post pointing to the image on my server?

Frank ... I think I may agree. At least for a 2nd opinion.

the attorney that rents space in our office looks an awful lot like the pic of Saddam that's on the front page. Eerie. He thinks its funny though. Personally, don't think I'd want to look anything like one of the most hated men in the world.

Sunday, December 14, 2003

Just checking

Glad Saddam got caught. See you got a post.

does any body post on the weekend?

Friday, December 12, 2003

Ok, here's the deal.
My doctor found out about a new technology which allows him to do pressure checks to see if stenting will fix the chest pains.(The blockages are border line for him to work on . However no one in town has the equipment to do his procedure. He is going to see if he can get the manufaturer to loan one for the procedure. I have been rescheduled for this next Friday. If he cannot get the equipment loaned or if this procedure shows the stents will solve the chest pains he will then place the stent.

I'm beginning to think I need a new heart specialist. One that is not from the middle east.

Anyone heard from Frank?

I tried. Nobody tells me nuthin'.

thanks george... and thanks for the effort, Le ;)

thats no longer his address. I have it at work and will post it later tonight.

The last one I had for him is:
13687 E, Dakota Way
Aurora, CO 80012

I need Curt's address. anybody?

Our prayers are with you! Hope every thing goes ok We will be looking for a update
Nettie and George

Thursday, December 11, 2003

Yes Jeanette,
It is Friday. I will try to get DeeAnna to post an update Friday evening. If She doesn't I will post on Saturday.

Glad the results are good Tami.....Get better Cathy....I hope 2004 is a better and healthier one! Jeannette

Wednesday, December 10, 2003

Tami....I'm glad your tests showed nothing horrible! It's a good idea
to have the twice yearly pap tests. When you get one or two that
are normal; they might go back to yearly pap tests.

I've been sick with the flu since Thanksgiving....and it bites!
I pulled something in my back on Saturday and went to the
doc on Monday about it. They took X-rays and found nothing wrong with my
back, but, my neck looks bad. They said something about arthritis
in my cervical area. I know that I have a deteriorating disc somewhere between
c5 and c7. They gave me Bextra (an anti-inflamatory) and Valium.

I went back to the doctor on Tuesday and had an X-ray of my chest because
I'm still coughing and I have neck/shoulder pains. Now, I have to take Flexeril
for a few days and a cough syrup with codeine and Allegra.

Hopefully, I'll be all better by Christmas!!

Thanks George for the address for the motel. I will look at it and others and let you all know which is the best from
Ron's and my opinion. Yes, Ron and I have been grand/great Aunt and Uncles for along time but, it isn't the same as
grandparents. I will be very happy when we are grandparents but, I am just getting them out of the house and I LOVE
time with just us two. Believe it or not Ron can be fun to be with... :). Congrats goes to Jack and Frank good luck on the procedure Friday! It is still Friday?

Tuesday, December 09, 2003

I'm guessing Ronnie is next ;p I mean, Ed hasn't even been on a date yet! Sandy isn't going to be allowed to be alone with a boy until she's 30 and Ian still thinks tonka is the bomb.

Monday, December 08, 2003

Bite your evil tongue, Raymond! Rachel is only 14. And I'm only ... ummmm ... way too young to be a grandma.

so.......who's NEXT to be a grandparent....Leisl? Tami? ronnie???

Congrats Frank and DeeAnna...and give Jack our congrats too :)

oh, congratulations to Jack! Good grief he will always be a pre-teen kid to me LOL

Jack

Frankie?

Fixin to be grand dad for a second time. she is due Dec 22

I've been leaving messages at my doctor's office begging for test results. I got a voicemail, "the doctor has sent you a letter regarding your biopsy results". NO WAY!!! So, I called back and made like I didn't have a touch tone phone and lo and behold an actual person DOES answer the phone! So I refused to allow another "call back" and she got someone on the phone who told me the results. It's nothing, not cancer, not pre-cancerous, just different. I'll have my paps twice a year instead of once. All that worry, but its nothing :)

what weekend are we talking about for the reunion?

That hotel looks niiiiiice. Think they'd give us a group discount that's a better price than AAA?

I think I have the age advantage Jeannette...I'm 47!
And if you're not a grandparent.....you're a grand Aunt/Uncle....right?

Sunday, December 07, 2003

Snow sucks!

And apparently it's the grandparent thing that keeps causing the heart issues. Or is it the heart issues causing the grandparent thing?

Congrats on the new grandbabies!

The Condo/townhouses are a part of the Embassy Suites. They have rooms that open to the beach also, looked pretty nice. http://www.mandalaybeach.embsuites.com/

I talked to Mom last weekend. Looks like we are going to have to motel/hotel it in Calif when we all go there next Aug.
The house is rented out all August that we were fortune it to use when we went in April of this year.
George, what is the name of the condo place that is by the folks house? I can check on different places for next summer.
And congrats on being a grandparent. Our kids are staying on the pill for along time....(I hope) We are too young to
be grandparents :) I am older then most of you! Jeannette

the second storm didn't get us. Good thing too. I can hardly move today from sore muscles :(

Looks like half of us sibs are grandparents. Just Ron, me and Curt to go. EGAD that means mom and dad are GREAT grandparents!!

Blow some snow this way Tami!!
It's been so dry here......so boring.

Saturday, December 06, 2003

I didn't think y'alls kids were old enuf to be having kids.

so I guess I'm not the only grandpa here anymore?
Oh wait......Bills a grand dad too.

Congrats bro, and give the kids our congrats too.

We want some snow !!!!!!

somebody wanna help me shovel snow, here? First snow storm came through yesterday/last night. I've got 7 inches and a looonnnnngggg driveway! Second storm (the one they are calling a blizzard!) is on its way in the next hour or so. Ed and I are trying to get the drive shoveled before it hits so we stand some kind of chance of getting it clear tomorrow on the off chance our concert isn't cancelled tomorrow afternoon.

George you must be getting old, grampa :p

Friday, December 05, 2003

I'm gonna be a grampa X2. Amber is due in late June, and Netties son Jesse is due by proxy in early July. So, whats new with you?

Thursday, December 04, 2003

lol ronnie

Wednesday, December 03, 2003

Just think of the collection of nail clippers you could amass!

Yay, Ray! Crossing fingers for you!

Congratulations, Ray :D HOpe they call you real soon!!

Tuesday, December 02, 2003

OK.....Got an e-mail from the Transportation Security Admin today. I've passed all the assessments and checks for the airport screener job and my name has been put into a "ready pool of candidates" that they will draw from when openings occur.
Hopefully, they'll call soon.

Another week? Ugh! Hang in there.

Another week? Grrrr! Tell him to work faster.

called my doctor yesterday looking for test results. They aren't back yet and she says it will probably be at least another week. Grrrr. It shouldn't take this long!!

Also, looks like Richard has to stay in Taiwan another week. He was supposed to come home next weekend (12/6)

Monday, December 01, 2003

Nettie and I got home from SoCal late last night. Had a great visit with the folks. Weather wasn't too shabby either. Good luck with your cath Bro!
