All us Marler girls are losing it in a good way for a change. hee hee
Congrats, Tami!!
Wonderful news all around, Tami! Hooray!
Kiddos are home safe and sound :D Siding is almost complete on the house :D Took a buncha pictures that I'll download from my camera (hopefully tonight) and post on my website :D Bought some size 14 jeans and they fit perfectly :D The bathtub doesn't leak anymore, Richard fixed it, so I can patch the hole in my kitchen ceiling now :D :D
I forgot to mention it this weekend but it actually got so hot here it melted my shoes. Yup, we were out at the auction and from walking around on the pavement it melted the glue that held the sole of my shoe on. Melted the sucker right off. We have now had 17 days of 100 degree plus weather this month. I am dreading my power bill!!!
Thanks all! I wouldn't say lookin great, but lookin better for sure considering I was a size 16 when this all started. I am hoping for an 8 by my bday. We'll see. I go to the gym enough and eat plenty of veggies. If I could just give up the weekend beers.
LOL! Oh, that's so not funny. You poor emotional wreck! ((((((((((((((Tami)))))))))))))) Breathe. Exhale. Have some tea ... or a beer ... and calm down. Oh, my!
Man, do I feel like an idiot. I took the day off to go to JFK to get the kids. So I leave the house at 6 a.m., get to the airport just before 8 and wait in baggage claim, and wait, and wait, the flight from Seattle finally comes in and everybody starts filing into baggage claim and I look, and look, and look. Finally it becomes apparent that THE KIDS ARE NOT ON THE PLANE!! So, natch, I freak (kinda - frantic, bawling, OMG) So a nice staffer takes me to the office and, although the plane will be leaving Seattle today, not until like 1 minute before its tomorrow, so.... end of story is the kids come home TOMORROW and I take another day off work to get them. And this after a nightmare last night that Kirk refused to send the kids back home. What a morning!
I had no idea about Carl's health, either, 'til I was talking with Mom yesterday. Nobody tells my anything, either.
Carls had 3 heart attacks and surgery???
Hooray, Tami!
wow, size 10? That's what I was in High School for pity's sake Mel. I bet you are lookin hot.
Man, oh man. How is he (Carl) doing, do you know?Le - tell Brian Congrats. I'll vote from my 4 accounts and send out the email to as many folks as possible.
Nobody ever tells me anything! I just got off the phone with Mom. Uncle Carl has had 3 heart attacks this month & is home recovering from heart surgery - bypass & stent.
We just got the phone call - Brian is the local winner of the online photo contest we entered! Now he gets to advance to the nationals! Voting starts August 7th so get your emails ready!
Went to the Boston concert friday great show for a bunch of old guys. we had second row center for this one fantastic seats! I got a guitar pick from their new bass player Yikes! fleetwood mack next week (got crapy seats for this one. bummer.)
Guess it wasn't as stupid as I thought. I just found out that Guyana is in South America, not South Africa like I thought. My bad.
You know how some people say such stupid things & you just feel so embarrassed for them?
Hi all :) well it looks like George has a new hobby, geocaching. he gets in lots of walking and climbing up hills, his back is doing so much better. I am very happy about that, it had me very worried for awhile
That sucks! Ain't being a homeowner great? ;-)
It's a sad day for Stilborn homeownership :( We're re-siding and yesterday they took all the old shingles off and found carpenter ants in one section and water damage in another. The guy can treat/fix ... for a price of course. AND got next year's tax bill. property tax went up from 5K to 7K. grrrrr. AND the township wants to come out and inspect the house (raise taxes even more is my guess). It seems the powers that be think we got too good of a deal on our property. It's true that other houses go for at least 50K more in our neighborhood than what we paid.
From Brian:
The Kings are making trades. I don't like this. Scot Pollard may be going to Indiana and the rumor is Hedo is going to San Antonio.
I am worn out today. I finally can do 9 full situps in Susan's ab class. It is harder than it seems. I think I strained my bicep today though. I just slathered it up with tiger balm. Feels good. I put a little weight back on but the inches are decreasing. Yay!!! I will reach my goal! I will reach my goal!
Bad Andy. LOL good one!
last night's party was fun hotter than the fires of hell but fun
It's addicting isn't it george?
I have a sportrak map by Magellan. Slick little unit. Picked up 3 travelbugs in the last 2 days...think I'll hide my own "Hitchhiker Hotel" cache. I'm using easygps to download and manage the waypoints
Tami,
I did it! I did it! I did 6 full situps in the ab class from hell today! And I lost to below 160 lbs. Okay so 159.8 but still...... it is below 160. Whoo hooo!!!!! About 20 pounds lost so far and only 30-40 to go!!! Whoo hoooooooo
Had the read thru for Wind in the Willows last night. This is gonna be such a cute show. Children's theatre, getting the audience involved, kids are gonna love it!
LOL Leisl... damn, that was a good one :: snort ::
The only thing worse than monday at work is a monday at work preceded by a week off
What do you get when you cross an agnostic with a Mormon missionary?
Bart works for Hans Zimmer at Mediaventures. He did something with the music/sound. I can't remember the exact title for the job. But it was way cool seeing his name floating up the big screen like that.
Had a good time in the red woods went geocaching (see www.geocaching.com) it was fun
What did Bart do for the movie? What's he up to these days?
Saw "Pirates of the Caribbean" last night. GO! It is the funnest movie. And Johnny Depp is fabulous in it, of course.
I don't know any details, no. Mom said they thought it should have been done in 1996 when he had his emergency procedure, but because it was an emergent thing they didn't do the stint.
Really? That's good news! (And my dad was really looking forward to comparing ... "My stint's bigger than your stint.") Do you know any details? Why the surgery in the 1st place?
I only got the email yesterday myself, Le. Apparently he didn't need the stint after all :) He should be home now and is fine according to mom.
Frank, Ray, George, Ronnie, Tami ... why didn't anybody say anything about your dad having heart surgery today? (How'd it go? Have you heard yet?)
We've entered that photo of Tylar walking through the field of flags in an online photo contest with the theme "My America...My View." They only allow one vote per email address ... so you know what do - put those addys of yours to good use. ;-) The deadline for voting is July 26. The grand prize (locally anyway) is a $500 shopping spree. That would be so handy for Christmas. :-)
I wouldn't say teeny but mine is smaller. I'm going to Susan the Sadist's ab and step classes tonight. She pushes us really really hard.
I've been cast as "Ratty" in WIND IN THE WILLOWS. Yay! Rehearsals start on the 15th and the show is scheduled for the end of August (I'll have to double check the exact dates). No pay, but at least it's legit! :-)
The other blog vansihed in a silent click of a delete key. Some guy at blogger.com slapped his forehead and said "Doh!
Le:
you too?
Pools ... empty nesters ... wow! Lotsa goings ons. :-)
Lookit what we bought on Sunday :) getting it installed on the 18th!
Closing night went great! 1600 tickets sold for that show alone - SOLD OUT! Rumor has it that last night's show was the biggest audience EVER for the Amphitheatre for a play. Cool, huh?
