All us Marler girls are losing it in a good way for a change. hee hee
Congrats, Tami!!

Wonderful news all around, Tami! Hooray!

Brian takes his chemistry final in about 15 minutes. And tomorrow is last day of employment. Yippee!

Kiddos are home safe and sound :D Siding is almost complete on the house :D Took a buncha pictures that I'll download from my camera (hopefully tonight) and post on my website :D Bought some size 14 jeans and they fit perfectly :D The bathtub doesn't leak anymore, Richard fixed it, so I can patch the hole in my kitchen ceiling now :D :D

Today is a gonna be a great day :D

I forgot to mention it this weekend but it actually got so hot here it melted my shoes. Yup, we were out at the auction and from walking around on the pavement it melted the glue that held the sole of my shoe on. Melted the sucker right off. We have now had 17 days of 100 degree plus weather this month. I am dreading my power bill!!!

Ha ha Ronnie!!!

SIZE 16?!! Damn those are some BIG FEET!

Thanks all! I wouldn't say lookin great, but lookin better for sure considering I was a size 16 when this all started. I am hoping for an 8 by my bday. We'll see. I go to the gym enough and eat plenty of veggies. If I could just give up the weekend beers.

LOL! Oh, that's so not funny. You poor emotional wreck! ((((((((((((((Tami)))))))))))))) Breathe. Exhale. Have some tea ... or a beer ... and calm down. Oh, my!

Man, do I feel like an idiot. I took the day off to go to JFK to get the kids. So I leave the house at 6 a.m., get to the airport just before 8 and wait in baggage claim, and wait, and wait, the flight from Seattle finally comes in and everybody starts filing into baggage claim and I look, and look, and look. Finally it becomes apparent that THE KIDS ARE NOT ON THE PLANE!! So, natch, I freak (kinda - frantic, bawling, OMG) So a nice staffer takes me to the office and, although the plane will be leaving Seattle today, not until like 1 minute before its tomorrow, so.... end of story is the kids come home TOMORROW and I take another day off work to get them. And this after a nightmare last night that Kirk refused to send the kids back home. What a morning!

I had no idea about Carl's health, either, 'til I was talking with Mom yesterday. Nobody tells my anything, either.

Carls had 3 heart attacks and surgery???
and this I had to find out on a blog?
dang.....nobody ever tells me ANYTHING.
we'll keep him and Bertha in our prayers for sure!!

Le, great news about Brians photo winning the local contest. we got about 10 or so e-mail accounts in this household that'll get used for sure. just be sure to let us know where to vote. {marking Aug. 7th on the calander}

Missy....sounds like you're lookin good cuz.

Tami, sorry to hear about the house probs, and glad to hear the kids are coming home.

Cathy and I are waiting to hear from her dads mortgage company about taking over the loan on the house. Lets hope they agree.

Love ya all

Hooray, Tami!
Hooray, Missy!
Hooray, Brian!

About Carl, all I know is he's home & recuperating & Blaine's being an ass but what's new.

wow, size 10? That's what I was in High School for pity's sake Mel. I bet you are lookin hot.

Great news about the photo contest, Le :) Of course, we knew Brian was the best :D

My kids come home tomorrow :D :D :D YIPPEEEEE... Gawd, I've missed 'em.

Man, oh man. How is he (Carl) doing, do you know?Le - tell Brian Congrats. I'll vote from my 4 accounts and send out the email to as many folks as possible.
Tami - too bad about the house stuff. This is why I rent.

I fit into a size 10 now. Guess that is one good part about getting dumped.

Nobody ever tells me anything! I just got off the phone with Mom. Uncle Carl has had 3 heart attacks this month & is home recovering from heart surgery - bypass & stent.

We just got the phone call - Brian is the local winner of the online photo contest we entered! Now he gets to advance to the nationals! Voting starts August 7th so get your emails ready!

And thank you so much for your votes to get us this far! Santa thanks you, too. :-)

We're going to see Blue Man Group next week. Bet we have more fun. LOL!

Went to the Boston concert friday great show for a bunch of old guys. we had second row center for this one fantastic seats! I got a guitar pick from their new bass player Yikes! fleetwood mack next week (got crapy seats for this one. bummer.)

It's OK Le they are everywhere.

Guess it wasn't as stupid as I thought. I just found out that Guyana is in South America, not South Africa like I thought. My bad.

Sunday, July 27, 2003

You know how some people say such stupid things & you just feel so embarrassed for them?

I walked into church today to pick the kids up and walked past a young (white) man of about 18, maybe 19 years old talking to a young group of (black) males - kids, maybe 10 & 11 years old & their father. As I passed by I heard him (the white guy) say, "There are lots of Africans in Guyana. Lots & lots of Africans." OMG! I had to practically run around the corner before I started laughing hysterically. DUH!

"we hope to get to see ya soon "

you guys coming out this way?

Saturday, July 26, 2003

Hi all :) well it looks like George has a new hobby, geocaching. he gets in lots of walking and climbing up hills, his back is doing so much better. I am very happy about that, it had me very worried for awhile

Tami it can only get better for ya :)
miss ya lots give the kids a hug for us we hope to get to see ya soon :)

That sucks! Ain't being a homeowner great? ;-)
Try to keep a sense of humor about it. We had a streak going where every time we put down new flooring or carpet, we'd flood. We quit putting down new flooring. LOL!

It's a sad day for Stilborn homeownership :( We're re-siding and yesterday they took all the old shingles off and found carpenter ants in one section and water damage in another. The guy can treat/fix ... for a price of course. AND got next year's tax bill. property tax went up from 5K to 7K. grrrrr. AND the township wants to come out and inspect the house (raise taxes even more is my guess). It seems the powers that be think we got too good of a deal on our property. It's true that other houses go for at least 50K more in our neighborhood than what we paid.

Luckily, Richard's recent raise will keep us at the same place financially as we were before all these increased expenses. At least the pool is nice ;)

From Brian:
I am trying to do a little flash animation for a "web site" project of sorts and I am having trouble with the program I am using to create it. Basically what I am trying to do is to create a floor plan for a house where each "room" is a link to another page. I also want each room to have a change in graphic when you mouse over. I have created a page that uses flash that will do this just fine but it is crashing explorer when I link back to the "floorplan" from a different page. I am figuring that the program I am using (CorelDraw) has the ability to create flash but that is not its strength so the flash is not as dynamic as it would be using a more robust program. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions for a program that would be better suited for creating this type of program?

But the good news is ... we got rid of Malone! Woohoohoo!

The Kings are making trades. I don't like this. Scot Pollard may be going to Indiana and the rumor is Hedo is going to San Antonio.

Monday, July 21, 2003

I am worn out today. I finally can do 9 full situps in Susan's ab class. It is harder than it seems. I think I strained my bicep today though. I just slathered it up with tiger balm. Feels good. I put a little weight back on but the inches are decreasing. Yay!!! I will reach my goal! I will reach my goal!
I finished sewing a dust ruffle and bedspread this weekend. The dust ruffle is a light green with koi fish and the bedspread is red with koi fish. Very fun pattern. I am probably going to paint my room next month and do it a light bamboo green.
That is the latest for my life. Thanks for listening. haha

Cool commercial

Bad Andy. LOL good one!

Sounds like you had a blast, Ron. I wish I could come to one of your parties.

Sunday, July 20, 2003

Important Men's Health News

You guys should really read this.

Had the read thru for Wind in the Willows last night. This is gonna be such a cute show. Children's theatre, getting the audience involved, kids are gonna love it!

And Brian will be unemployed as of July 29. :-|

Party Pool side at Eric's on Sat the 19th everyone is invited. :)

What do you get when you cross an agnostic with a Mormon missionary?

Someone who knocks on your door for no apparent reason.

Bart works for Hans Zimmer at Mediaventures. He did something with the music/sound. I can't remember the exact title for the job. But it was way cool seeing his name floating up the big screen like that.

Sunday, July 13, 2003

Had a good time in the red woods went geocaching (see www.geocaching.com) it was fun
Saw Hulk yesterday STAY HOME ! what a waste of film

What did Bart do for the movie? What's he up to these days?

Saw Matrix and X2 today. Loved X2. Matrix was long.

Saw "Pirates of the Caribbean" last night. GO! It is the funnest movie. And Johnny Depp is fabulous in it, of course.

Oh yeah ... and one of our best friends (Bart Hendrickson) worked on it, too. Bonus! :-)

Friday, July 11, 2003

I don't know any details, no. Mom said they thought it should have been done in 1996 when he had his emergency procedure, but because it was an emergent thing they didn't do the stint.

Really? That's good news! (And my dad was really looking forward to comparing ... "My stint's bigger than your stint.") Do you know any details? Why the surgery in the 1st place?

I only got the email yesterday myself, Le. Apparently he didn't need the stint after all :) He should be home now and is fine according to mom.

Thursday, July 10, 2003

Frank, Ray, George, Ronnie, Tami ... why didn't anybody say anything about your dad having heart surgery today? (How'd it go? Have you heard yet?)

We've entered that photo of Tylar walking through the field of flags in an online photo contest with the theme "My America...My View." They only allow one vote per email address ... so you know what do - put those addys of yours to good use. ;-) The deadline for voting is July 26. The grand prize (locally anyway) is a $500 shopping spree. That would be so handy for Christmas. :-)

So ... PLEASE VOTE FOR US!!! Santa is counting on you. ;-)

Here's the link:

And if you don't mind asking everybody you know to vote, too, we'd really appreciate it!

I wouldn't say teeny but mine is smaller. I'm going to Susan the Sadist's ab and step classes tonight. She pushes us really really hard.

but I hear both your butts are getting so teeny

Tuesday, July 08, 2003

NO!

c'mon.... kiss my butt!!

Monday, July 07, 2003

I'm NOT gonna kiss it better. :-)

Congrats Le!!
I think I bruised my tailbone. It hurts!!!!

Saturday, July 05, 2003

I've been cast as "Ratty" in WIND IN THE WILLOWS. Yay! Rehearsals start on the 15th and the show is scheduled for the end of August (I'll have to double check the exact dates). No pay, but at least it's legit! :-)

The other blog vansihed in a silent click of a delete key. Some guy at blogger.com slapped his forehead and said "Doh!

Le:

could you be Leisl in Sound of Music? Too bad about Pirates though :/ that could be so much fun if it was, you know, produced.

Friday, July 04, 2003

you too?
I was getting some kinda error msg for days, but I finally made it.
what happened to the other blog?

Damn...had a terrible time trying to join this blog

Thursday, July 03, 2003

Pools ... empty nesters ... wow! Lotsa goings ons. :-)

Pirates of Penzance is gonna go be a NO GO for me. Too many alarm bells ... no rehearsal space, no venue secured, no dates locked in, no costumes, no props, no sets, no musical director (it's a freakin' OPERA, already!), and he actually pulled the "if you invest money, you'll be a big return" line. The young 'uns were eating it up. UGH! Anyway ... I called the producer/director of Wind in the Willows last night. She still doesn't have it cast. She's gonna get with her musical director & call me to come over today to re-audition for it. And if this doesn't work out, Sound of Music still wants me.

*heavy sigh*

Tuesday, July 01, 2003

Closing night went great! 1600 tickets sold for that show alone - SOLD OUT! Rumor has it that last night's show was the biggest audience EVER for the Amphitheatre for a play. Cool, huh?

AND we got our business license yesterday for the photog biz. We are now legit! (New site currently under development, but feel free to check out the changes anytime. www.brianbonell.com)

Thank you for the card. He will be so thrilled & so surprised when he gets it.
