OK ... *ahem*
"When Frederick was a little lad he proved so brave and daring,
His father thought he'd 'prentice him to some career seafaring.
I was, alas, his nursery maid and so it fell to my lot
To take and bing this promising boy apprentice to a pilot.
A life not bad for a hardy lad, 'tho surely not a high lot.
'Tho I'm a nurse, you might do worse than make your boy a pilot.
I was a stupid nursery maid, on breakers always stearing,
And I did not catch the word aright, thru being hard of hearing.
Mistaking my instructions which within my brain did gyrate,
I took and bound this promising boy apprentice to a pirate."
Whadja think?
wow Le... WAY TO GO!!!! Which one is Ruth anyway. I can never remember the names of the characters in shows.
UGH! Finally! Thanks Ronnie!
1st big news (after that of having a new blog, of course) - I have decided to accept the role of "Ruth" in The Pirates of Penzance. Not only is it a killer role - very challenging vocally - and one of my favorite shows, IT PAYS! And if it's successful locally, he's considerring touring. Woohoo!
(I had to turn down 2 other roles - one in The Sound of Music and one in The Wind in the Willows in order to accept it. Whodda ever thunk?)
