Aunt Dorothy -
I will always remember her stories. Especially the one about how she got Marvin to get her that big motorhome/travel trailer. She will be missed so very much.  I loved her a lot!!

She was cool. Back in about '48, she gave me a Toni Home Permanent and put my hair in pin curls. Of her brothers-in-law, she was probably closest to Dick. He would hang around her place when he had a chance as a little boy. I think he was in love......even then. Anyone remember making an "aunt dorothy" in folding paper?

Aunt Dorothy had heart surgery Monday (She had emergency surgery which
consisted of a quadruple bypass and a couple of stents). It was too much
for her and she passed away Tuesday. It is sad for us to see her
go but Uncle Marvin is very happy to see her come to be with him.

Dorothy is at the Heafey-Heafey Hoffman Funeral home 7805 West Center
Road Omaha Nebraska 68124.
The funeral is Saturday.

I'll always remember her as a kind and loving person.

One of my earliest memories revolves around her, I think the setting was Warm River...could have been Macks Inn or Ponds Lodge even.

I had been fishing all morning with no luck while everyone else was catching fish. They would bring their catch to her campsite and Dorothy would cook them up. Marvin called out that breakfast was ending soon and to get it while it's still on. I was determined to eat a fish that I had caught myself or nothing at all.

By the time I finally hooked one and got it to the table, the dishes were done and breakfast put away.

Dorothy took one look at my tiny trout and me standing there with tears in my eyes and grabbed a frying pan and told Marv to clean my fish while she heated up the pan.

I must have been 7 or 8 at the time but she made me feel like I was one of the grownups.

I know how Dick felt, I had a crush on her when I was little too. She always made you feel special.
