Geek question: I've changed computers but can't put all my old programs on the new one (lost CD for my palm, etc). Can I take the hard drive out of the old one and add it into the new one and run my old programs from there? Is there something special I have to do other than just plugging it in to the power and ribbon cord and do I use the same cord as the other HD?

You can add the old drive to your new pc and access your saved data, but it would take alot more than just plugging it in to use the already installed programs on your old drive. You'd need to edit the registry file on your new pc (a dangerous endeavor) to direct it to the old files and programs. Make a mistake there and you'll be reloading your new PC from scratch.

Thanks - I'll just "make do". So far, I've been able to muddle through and get most of my stuff up and running.

Thanks -= it's a T5 Tungsten and I have found what I need on the net for free download. Got it up and running. Not bad for an old fart who remembers having to go through the telephone switchboard and telling the operator (central) the number (or name) I wanted to ring up and talk to and the phone was two pieces - mouth piece and ear piece.
