I was transferred to a regular room last night. My cardiac enzymes finally turned and started declining. I still have a fair amt of pain when I breath from the Pericarditis (basically a swollen heart), but they've put me on some meds for that. This was a significant attack that pretty much came from no-where, I was sitting at my laptop checking emails when it hit. We don't know the exact extent of the damage yet. My cardio estimated I lost as much as 20% of my heart muscle.

I appreciate all the calls both to me and nettie, especially the support she's gotten from you all. This has been a scary time for her, and I can't tell you how much it's helped...especially Curt driving all the way from Denver.

We love you all very much.

I was discharged from the hospital this afternoon. I'm on more meds than I care to count and can pronounce about half of them. The pericarditis is tolerable, but I hope the pain subsides in the next few days. It hurts when I breath, sit or lean back. Laying down is out of the question.

I meet with my regular cardio tomorrow to discuss whats next, and when I can return to work.

George,
I am praying that the pain from the pericarditis eases a lot for you. It sounds like it prevents you from doing a lot of things. I guess you're sleeping while standing up like horses and flamingos do! I hope Jeanette is de-frazzling a little. The stress can't be good for her either.
Ray is glad he had the time off and was able to visit you. He would prefer you to be back to normal...whatever normal is going to to be!
Keep us posted!

You're in my prayers too.
