Saw my dr today for the follow up on my blood work for my random numbness. The results were in the normal range so it ruled out a bunch of things. I am getting more blood work done to recheck my calcium levels. My calcium levels were on the low end of normal which does not make sense given I meet/exceed the minimum daily requirements by breakfast. I have also been referred to a behavioral medicine dr to talk about alternative ways to deal with stress. My dr's theory is that it is similiar to migrane causes where the blood vessels and nerves in the brain are acting all funky. I may still be referred to a neurologist for more diagnotic things but my dr wants to be consulted before I agree to anything they suggest before I agree to MRIs, etc. The behavioral medicine guy is the same one my dr uses so I feel really good about that. Good news ---- stroke symtoms does ntot always mean stroke. hee hee Anyway - I'll keep you posted.
