I stopped at Homo Depot to look at paint chips on the way home from orchestra rehearsal (big concert tomorrow night). Our home depot is open 24/7, isn't that nuts? Great for bi-polars on a manic binge I guess who just HAVE to paint the house TONIGHT. Anyway, I can't decide between blue or green, muted but not pastel. I have a forest green glider rocker for my office and I'm re-covering the fabric on my cubicle-ish desk thingy with a similar fabric as what's on the rocker. I'm thinking green walls would just be too much, so maybe blue? For artwork I've got a cool reproduction of Van Gogh's crows over a wheatfield, which has some rich golds and blues in it - and Tracey's word collage masterpiece that doesn't really "go", but I love love love looking at it. To be fair, MY office walls are not actually beige currently. They're a sort of golden baby shit color. What color do you guys think for the walls. Can't go crazy with glazing or dark colors. It's a guvment building and all.

I'd go with either Haze Grey, SeaFoam green, or Battle Ship Grey. Maybe with a little Mercury Orange primer trim. What do you think? Army Khaki would be nice.
jk....
GREEN: Earth Elemental, Herb Magick, Fertility, Healing, Balance, Employment, Prosperity, Courage, Agriculture, Changing direction or attitudes, Growth.
BLUE: Health, Psychic awareness, Intuition, Opportunity, Understanding, Quests, Safe journey, Patience, Tranquility, Ward off depression. The Goddess, Water Elemental, Truth, Dreams, Protection, Change, Meditation, Impulse.
I think I would go with green for an office. =] Blue tends to make you wanna sleep.
My first thought was a green, too, but with the chair & thingy being green it might be almost too much. Monochromatic schemes can be mind-numbing. Green and blue are both healing & calming colors, so you're good either way there. So I guess I'm leaning more towards the blue. And it would really make the golds in the van Gogh pop.
One word...
Camo
I ended up going with something completely different, but it looks fantastic. I chose a custard, very pale yellow. I'm swapping out the Van Gogh for a different print of one of the stained glass windows in St. John's. I was looking around and noticed that I have a lot of black - trim, the collage print, the file cabinets etc. I love pale yellow with black. It looks great, but now I have to go to the fabric store and find new fabric for the cubicle thing. Poor me. I'm hoping to enlist Tracey's friend Jodie to help me re-cover the partition. She's crafty and her boy toy is gone for a week. i bet she'll help and together with a couple staple guns we could get it done in a few hours.
That sounds great. I was gonna suggest a yellowish, too, but thought you'd decided on one of those two colors already. That, I'm migraining again so I don't trust my brain so much. Take pics?
I still think a woodland camo motif would do wonders for the ambiance. You could use khaki for the cubicle thingy and it would perfectly coordinate the forest green chair.
But then again...I did pee in your yard.
twice
That's OK. He emptied in my back yard too. He leaves in the AM for Denver. Was nice having him around to help bug mom.
You people have your own homo depot?
of course we do, Ronnie. Geez, i thought you knew that. All part of the "agenda" shhhhh
I would have gone eggshell for everything. Give it that sterile feeling.
