Mom and Dad, are you alright over there?

Boy is it smokey around here. Mom and I are OK. The closest fire is about 20 miles from us. Where we live, there is virtually no danger of fire from the brush fires going on. We to have to deal with the smoke and falling ash, though. We are staying inside the house as much as possible and I've been using my inhaler more than usual - bothering my asthma. I do hope we can make it to the beach for sunset tonight. Smokey haze equals fantastic sunset. Right now you can look directly into the sun with no problem and see an red/orange ball. If the flames become a threat to us, we'll just take a walk a block and a half to the west and cool off in the surf. Thanks to all for your concern but we're OK. Love you all.
