Graduated from physical therapy today (ran out of MediCare approved visits) and my final evaluation shows that I have either met or exceeded ALL my goals. Walked in there with a walker about 2 months ago and jogged to my car after my session today. Use of legs is 90% with the strength at about 75%. I can continue going to the facility for $3.00 per visit and can use any and all their equipment. That's my plan for now. Worked hard to get back up to speed and as soon as the rain stops, I'm going geocaching.

Woohoo! Congratulations on this victory! I'm looking forward (in that strange & twisted way people who want to walk normally again do) to starting physical therapy, myself. I hope I am as successful as you. *happy hobbly dance*

Thot you knew. Thanksgiving, I had an issue with herniated disks in my back - cut off some nerves to my leg and caused temp paralysis and extreme pain (they were afraid it might be perm). Elected steroids vs surgery. mri found a couple hernias, compressions, and a fracture in the sacrum. Getting better.

Glad you are feeling better and that the steroids worked. Stay away from surgery unless it is the absolute last resort. If the pain comes back, try to see an interventional pain management doctor. There is a lot of stuff they can do to help with pain besides surgery. Keep feeling better.
