Tracey and I are going to a rally today to protest Prop 8 and the like. There is a similar rally near all of you. You don't have to be gay to attend and I encourage everyone to take an hour from their Saturday and join the impact. go to jointheimpact.wetpaint.com and find the city near you where one of these rallies is being held. It's a nationwide effort and all the rallies are scheduled to happen at about the same time today. It isn't about special rights - it's about civil rights.

I wish that we could, but we're hosting a birthday party for my son today (he's going to be 13!) during those times. However, my heart, my energy and my spirit will be there.

No marches in Oxnard/Ventura and was surprised that there was no coverage on our local (including L.A.) news stations last night or today. Perhaps it's because of all the coverage of our devastating fires. I'm sure Prop 8 will be overturned by a Fed Court. It so obviously violated civil rights and is openly discriminatory.
