Anyone out there an expert on auto air conditioners? Had mine serviced on the Explorer last fall and it's already pumping out regular air (not refrigerated)(( Boo Hoo)). Converted from the old juice to the new and it worked for most of the fall/winter but has now failed again and I roast whenever I have to go out in my car. Don't know if I can stand the heat much longer and it's only 2 February (appropriate whine *here*). Any suggestions?

When you had the conversion done did they check for leaks before filling the system? It sounds like you lost all the R134 in the system. Did they give you any kind of warranty on the work?

No warranty and it's not REALLY a big problem. I just wanted to rub all your noses in the fact you are cold and I am warm

Cold? It's a balmy 30* here, can't say about the wind chill, but figure about a 10-15* drop. MAN I missed Idaho winters :)

I'm so glad you missed these winters Ray. I won't feel bad at all handing you the snow shovel tomorrow to clear the drifts that are surrounding my van. pfffffffffffffft

And I knew dad was just rubbing our nose in it. He should maybe remember that children oftentimes choose the old folks' home, hmm???

Seriously, I don't care what the weather is doing outside. It's warm in here with the pellet stove and I can play my cello in my pajamas without the store people looking at me strangely. I'll worry about the snow drifts tomorrow :)

snow shovel?? I'll just hook up my gas guzzling 4X4 truck to your van and pull you out. hehehehe (wicked evil grin and scary laugh)

Maybe Dad needs to move back to Denver where he doesn't need AC

Can't move back to the snow. Don't know if you had heard but when mom and I left Denver, I tied a snow shovel to the front bumper of the car and headed south. Many miles later, when I pulled into a gas station and was asked what that thing was that was tied to my car, I knew I had arrived. If they didn't know what a snow shovel was, I was safe.

Unk - you get to use a/c already? It isn't warm enough here yet - still only in the 50's. I am FREEZING!!

pssst... I've been lying just a little. Did need it one afternoon last week, though. Been in the low 50's at night and mid-high 70's during the day here.
