Oh wow! My first day at work was great! This is where I work and I'm sure you'll see my picture there soon enough! I'm a kennel attendant. Today I cleaned cages, swept & mopped floors, walked dogs, helped bag an 84# dog that was put to sleep, and took care of a dog with Parvo (smelly, smelly). I helped restrain a big German Shepherd, while his hips were being treated with a K-laser.

A 20 year old girl was training me today and called me "Dude" all day. She could not believe that I was 50 years old! Part of my job is running errands; so today I had to drive to WalMart to pick up a prescription. They told me to write down my mileage because they pay for that. They promote from within the company and I can move up to a vet tech or a surg tech position. I am excited!

I felt right at home and in my "element"! I work M-F, 7-3 pm and I'll still be able to do my Nutro job on the week-ends.

I am soooooo happy for you. I know you will do well with your background of taking care of animals. Again - congratulations.

Congratulations! I guess the interview went well, then :-)

Parvo is nasty. Just got Mozart immunized. He's just got his rabies shot to go, but he'll get that in January when he gets tutored.

Congratulations, Cathy. What a perfect job for you!
