What is it? A homemade camper?

It's called a teardrop camper. 4x8 feet and light enough to pull behind a vw bug.

Theres just enough room in the cabin for 2 to sleep cozy, and the rear hatch opens to an outside kitchenette.

Your uncle Marvin built one back i '48/'49. Spent many a weekend at Warm River. Made a shelf above where his feet would fit for Robin and Kevin. Very popular in those days.
