Birthday Trauma -


So, I get home from work and Alek had made me a cake, very sweet girl... but Ian isn't home. So I ask, where's Ian? "I don't know. He didn't come home from school" so I call around to his friends' houses - nobody has seen him. I ask one of the kids that catches the bus with him, Ian wasn't on the bus home. So I spend 2 hours driving all over hell and back looking for him, worried because not one of his friends has seen him since school let out. I called the police, who don't think I should worry before dark, but said they'd come out to the house and talk with me, but they didn't rush or anything, half hour later Ian got home and they weren't there yet so I called and said nevermind. Ian missed the bus, thought he knew the way (its about a mile away), didn't know the way and got himself hopelessly lost, cell phone at home and too much male chromosome to ask directions. He was scared and tired (very heavy backpack on day one of school and 4 hours since the bell rang) but happy to be home.
