Tami,
It's not that I wanted to watch. It was more that I felt I needed to watch it. I don't trust our media not to sensor what is going on, to save us from really understanding. I think this kind of homogeneous reporting is dangerous. it desensitizes us to the realities of war. These images are important if only to enflame us to speak passionatly on our views no matter what side of the War fence you're on. There can not be an imassioned debate with the public waliking around with some white washed, spoon fed, processed for consumer consumption version of reality given to them by network news.
As far as dragging kids into it. I agree, that is just wrong. Their biggest wory should be how to hide that pimple on their nose, and not being tramatized by their english teacher.
Everyone,
Write your elected officials. Weigh in.
